FOOD & COMMUNICABLE DISEASE ASSISTANT (ENFORCEMENT)

TEMPORARY FULL TIME – GRADE 9 – £29,577

The Council is looking to recruit temporary, full time Food & Communicable Disease Assistants with an emphasis on enforcement to support Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Regional Response to Covid-19 Pandemic as part of the Test, Trace and Protect Service. The post holder will be required to carry out duties in relation to alternative enforcement strategies and will also assist with the inspection of food premises, the investigation of food poisoning incidents or outbreaks and provide advice to businesses and the public. As this is a partnership approach you will support this service for all three local authorities, Bridgend, Merthyr and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

You will have experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and the appropriate maintenance and storage of records. It is desirable that the post holder has experience of working in an enforcement environment and experience in food hygiene and/or health and safety matters, together with a food hygiene certificate at intermediate or advanced level.
