Cwm Taf Youth Offending Service is a multi-agency service whose principal aims are the prevention of offending and re-offending by young people , give the victim with a voice and provide community reassurance.

You will be joining an experienced team (two offices based in Merthyr Tydfil and Pontypridd) that offer excellent support and supervision and professional development opportunities.
 
As a multi-agency Service, we are well integrated into local Community initiatives and Children’s Services Strategies, with numerous innovative projects to help us achieve our aim. 

Volunteer Support Assistant

As Volunteer Support Assistant, you will be expected to recruit and retain members of the public from a diverse cross section of the community to volunteer in a number of specific and generic roles in Cwm Taf YOS.  Using the existing platforms of training and induction, you will develop and consolidate existing processes to ensure volunteers have mentoring, regular supervision and a portfolio evidencing their training and work experience at the YOS.  

This role will be the single point of contact for all Volunteer work at the YOS.  The role will be supported by an Operational Manager and will work alongside managers and team members to ensure that young people receive the best possible service.
