Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking to appoint a translator to work as a part of its busy and well established translation team. The main duty will be the preparation of English to Welsh and Welsh to English translations.

The successful applicants will possess Welsh language qualifications of degree level or equivalent and previous experience of working within a translation role will be an advantage. Excellent ICT skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines are essential requirements for this role.

The successful candidates will be part of agile working, mainly from home, but there will be an expectation to travel to offices and attend meetings when required.

The posts attract a competitive salary, an option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme, 25 days of annual leave (full year), increasing to 30 days after 5 years service, and other benefits such as discounts on membership to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council run leisure centres and a Staff Benefits Scheme.
