View Vacancy -- Senior Practitioner - Youth Offending Service
We are seeking to recruit experienced Senior Practitioners within the Cwm Taf Youth Offending Service. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a defined caseload and work in a challenging yet suppportive and rewarding team environment. You will be expected to take on a mentoring role where required with newly qualified practitioners and commit to your own development. Within this role you will be expected to deputise on occasions for the Team Manager. You will also receive informal and formal supervision and there are numerous and appropriate training opportunities available.
You must hold a recognised social work qualification and have three years post qualifying experience. You should also possess a sound understanding of the practice implications of The Children Act 1989, The Social services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and other relevant legislation including Youth Justice Legislation. You will also have experience of or an interest in working within children and young people services. Committed to anti opressive practice, you will bring strong assessment, communication and planning skills.
You will also be required to be registered as a 'Social Worker' with Social Care Wales on appointment.
