RCT Council's Apprenticeship Scheme 2020

An Apprenticeship with Award Winning RCT Council is the first stage of your journey to excellent career opportunities.

The Council’s 2020 Apprenticeship scheme offers exciting employment opportunities in a number of different service areas across the Council.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking to appoint an Apprentice Date & Management Information Assistant to work within its Transformation & Data team in the Education Improvement Services Division.

Within the Division, much progress has been made in recent years in reducing the number of data systems in use, and as a consequence, the department is now experiencing much greater demand for service data. There is a need to increase the availability of skills in the areas of production and use. The Transformation & Data team is looking for an individual who has an interest in learning and working with data and information management. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining job-specific knowledge and skills. The scheme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning and working towards nationally recognised professional qualifications in your chosen career path.

Benefits:

  • In-house training, tailored induction programme, pastoral care and support;
  • Earn, while you learn;
  • Benefits package including pension, 25 days leave, subsidised membership fees for Leisure Centres within RCT, and staff benefits scheme.

This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in January 2021. You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age:

  • 25 & over                   £8.72              21-24              £8.20
  • 18 - 20                        £6.45              Under 18        £4.55

Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above in the role applied for. For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post. However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post. Any such applications will not be considered. Rhondda Cynon Taf Council welcomes applications from all parts of the community.
