The Council’s 2022 Apprenticeship scheme offers exciting employment opportunities in a number of different service areas across the Council.  

RCT Council’s ICT department are offering two exciting frontline apprenticeship opportunities this year. Once in post, the apprentice will work towards an ICT qualification and have the chance to work in an array of different areas, such as service desk support and site support.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining job-specific knowledge and skills. The scheme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning and working towards nationally recognised professional qualifications in your chosen career path.

This is a fixed term post for a two-year period and will start in September.

You will be paid National Minimum Wage dependent on age: 

  • 23 & over £9.50
  • 21 - 22 £9.18
  • 18 - 20 £6.83 
  • Under 18 £4.81 

Due to the Apprenticeship entry criteria, applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above in the role applied for.  For example, if you have a degree in Civil Engineering you will not be eligible to apply for a Civil Engineering apprenticeship post.  However, you could apply for any other apprenticeship post.  Any such applications will not be considered. Rhondda Cynon Taf Council welcomes applications from all parts of the community.
