We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed person to manage the West Care and Support team located in Ty Elai, Williamstown. 

The team works with adults over the age of 18, who may have a physical disability, chronic illness, learning disability or mental health condition. An understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Continuing Health Care and Care and Treatment planning under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010 is required. We work to a preventative, strength based model under the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014.

The Team Manager will be expected to demonstrate the leadership and organisational skills required to maintain an efficient and effective service where social care practice can continually improve and develop. You will need to analysis the team’s performance and will be responsible for quality assuring work carried out by the team as well as participate in appraisals and contribute to the identification of your own and team development needs.

The post holder will join a well-established group of team managers that are highly supportive. Regular professional supervision and support will be provided. The successful candidates will need to have good verbal and written skills and have basic computer knowledge. You will need to be organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise competing job demands as well as being creative and have a strong belief in empowering adults towards independence.

You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered as a 'Social Worker' with the Social Care Wales on appointment.
