REGIONAL COMMISSIONING UNIT

RCT, MERTHYR, BRIDGEND and CWM TAF MORGANNWG UHB

The Cwm Taf Morgannwg Social Services and Wellbeing Board is looking to strengthen its Joint Commissioning resource. We are pleased to be driving forward the joint health and social care integration agenda on behalf of the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (RCT), Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MT), Bridgend County Borough Council (BCBC) and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTM). In line with the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2016. Built on the strong foundations of partnership working across the region, the Partnership wish to further accelerate the integration of our services, so that people receiving care and support are able to access seamless care that is tailored to their need.

In support of the Regional Area Plan work programme, the Joint Regional Commissioning Unit will, where there is benefit from integrated commissioning, map demand, developing service specifications with front line staff and service users and monitoring outcomes, ensuring value for money and that services are in the best interests of clients/patients and carers. The Unit will be supported by specialist disciplines from other partner organisations as appropriate, including finance, procurement, HR, performance and information.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced and highly skilled individual from within our partnership of organisations, whose drive, enthusiasm and expertise will form an effective team to deliver on this important agenda.

The following post which is open to partners will be hosted by RCT, but will work closely with all partners, via the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Social Services and Wellbeing Partnership Transformational Leadership Group (TLG).

All posts can be offered as a secondment opportunity (until the 31st March 2021) with the permission of the candidates’ line manager. The successful candidate will be able to remain on their terms and conditions either with Health or Local Government.

You will be required to: 

  • Assist the Head of Regional Commissioning Unit and Regional Commissioning Officers in the Performance monitoring and compliance of the Integrated Care Funds (ICF) and other Welsh Government funded programmes, commissioned across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region (Rhondda Cynon Taff, Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend).

 

  • Monitor and coordinate programme performance and financial information, to deliver improved outcomes for vulnerable people, children and families.

 

  • Develop performance reports for specific projects and compiling programme performance reports for Management Groups and Regional Partnership Board as required.

 

  • Oversee and analyse service provision activity and performance monitoring reports and highlighting areas for improvement.

 

  • Support projects to improve service activity performance data where required.

 

  • To co-ordinate and monitor service user participation to ensure that the views of service users, families and carers are included in the development, delivery and design of services.
