As a result of recent changes in Adult Services in Rhondda Cynon Taf, opportunities have arisen for a temporary Service Manager in Mental Health Learning Disabilities and Substance misuse social work services. This post will initially be fixed term for one year.

The Service manager post will cover mental health and substance misuse social work services and involve multi agency work with health and third Sector services to continually develop our services.

This is an exciting time for Adult Social Care Services. We are looking for individuals with drive, enthusiasm, a proven track record and a solution focussed attitude to join our team. These roles are varied and offer an excellent opportunity for someone looking to increase their management skills and experience. 

The main focus of these roles will be operational management of 3 Community Mental Health Teams and one Substance misuse social work service. It will focus upon two key service areas. Working with other service areas and partner organisations and in particular health in a co-productive way will be key to the delivery of positive outcomes. 

The Service Manager will be responsible for leading and ensuring effective service delivery, targeting resources as efficiently as possible to achieve maximum impact. 

Successful candidates for both posts will also have a sound knowledge of legislation and best practice and, most importantly, a value base which is committed to providing the best services to individuals and carers.
