View Vacancy -- Streetcare Enforcement Warden
An opportunity has arisen within the Streetcare Enforcement Section for the post of Streetcare Enforcement Warden.
The Streetcare Enforcement Team investigate environmental offences within the Borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf and can issue Fixed Penalty Notices or prosecute offenders in Court.
The role will be key in helping Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council maximising it's recycling rates through education and enforcement.
The main duties will be dealing with waste issues such as contamination of recycling bags, excess black bags, bins on highways etc. This will also involve issuing Fixed Penalty Notices to members of the public in a face-to-face situation.
The role also involves participating and assisting in the Councils Public Awareness programme to promote recycling, re-use and waste minimisation. The enforcement of legislation relating to litter, illegal dumping, dog fouling, refuse and other street care activities as defined by the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, Environmental Protection Act 1990.
You will also be required to attend Court to give evidence relating to these cases when required
