An opportunity has arisen for two temporary full time Food and Communicable Disease Assistants to join the Food, Health and Safety team. The post holder will be required to carry out the Council’s duties in relation to alternative enforcement strategies in low risk food premises and Communicable Disease including the Test Track Protect Service in response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

You will also assist with the inspection of food premise, the investigation of food poisoning incidents or outbreaks and provide advice to businesses and the public.        

The successful candidate will possess a food hygiene certificate at intermediate or advanced level. You will have experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and the appropriate maintenance and storage of records. It is desirable that the post holder has experience of working in an enforcement environment and experience in food hygiene and/or health and safety matters.
