View Vacancy -- Child Care Support Worker

Rhondda Cynon Taf Children's Services are looking to appoint a Child Care Support Worker in the East and West Intensive Intervention Teams. You will be based in a social work team and work with the social worker supporting and undertaking direct work with children, young people and their families. This role also supports contact between children and their parents.

There is no requirement for a formal qualification, however, some knowledge and experience of working with children and their families is essential.

The successful candidate must possess the Children and Young People level 3 in Health and Social Care (QCF) or predecessor NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or ability to achieve the QCF within 2 years of being allocated an assessor. 

Protecting children and vulnerable adults is a core responsibility of all staff appointed to the Council.

In addition to this safeguarding responsibility, the successful applicant for this role will also be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
