Working to the requirements of the Children act 1989 and the Social Services and Well Being Act 2014, the Resilient Families Service is responsible for the delivery of effective Team Around the Family arrangements across the County Borough.

As part of the Resilient Families Service, it is the responsibility of the Assessment, Brokerage and Review Team to provide a timely response to referrals into the Resilient Families Service securing the positive engagement of families; undertake a proportionate resilience based assessment; create bespoke support plans from a suite of available interventions and; direct the delivery of high quality support from a range of providers. The Brokerage and Review Officer will undertake all plans for RFS and also reviews of those plans. They must have assessment experience of undertaking support plans with children and families, and a good knowledge of services available to support families.

The successful candidate must possess the Children and Young People level 3 in Health and Social Care (QCF) or predecessor NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or ability to achieve the QCF within 2 years of being allocated an assessor.
