The Council’s Apprenticeship scheme offers exciting employment opportunities in a number of different service areas. The scheme gives you the opportunity to earn a wage whilst learning new skills that will enhance your future employment prospects. The successful applicants may be required to attend college on day release and demonstrate the motivation and commitment required to combine on-the job training with college studies.

This is a fixed term post for a two year period and will start in September 2015.

Due to the apprenticeship entry criteria applications cannot be accepted from any applicant who has already gained a similar qualification at level 3 or above. Any such applications will not be considered.

National Minimum Wage rates are as follows:

16 – 18: £3.79 per hour

18 – 20: £5.13 per hour

21 and over: £6.50 per hour
